The Impossible Family Portrait

The perfect branded content is when you forget you’re watching branded content at all. This video from Skype by Pereira & O’Dell does that. This is from a series of three short stories for Skype’s campaign, “Stay Together.”

The campaign’s success is because it’s not about the brand – it’s about the people.

The projected portraits by Singaporean photographer and visual artist, John Clang, are a strong visual representation of the Skype’s tag line, ‘Stay Together’.

I feel that the constant bombardment of social media and advertisements have trained us to view branded content and advertising with a steely gaze of, “so what are you selling me?” But for me this was one of the ones that slipped through. It genuinely warmed my cold ad-abused soul, so good job Pereira & O’Dell.
