Life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forwards.
The parents of premature twins narrate their story in an online film ‘Twin Miracles’ for GE Australia & NZ. Created for multidisciplinary brand agency The One Centre, we had the privilege to work with GE, the amazing people of The Children’s Hospital Westmead and the super family – The Caisleys.
Emma & Ben Caisley took us on the journey of the birth of their ‘ Twin Miracles’ born at 31 weeks, each weighing a little over 1.4 kilos.
We wanted to tell their story in reverse, Emma and Ben guiding us through their journey. As the film continues the babies grow tinier and more fragile, and their health becomes more and more precarious. The film needed to feel honest, real and emotive. We wanted to balance the seriousness of the medical technology with some of the smaller and sometimes hidden moments. The Caisley family had an amazing wealth of home videos and photography which you will see throughout the film – thank you again for being so generous Emma and Ben.
‘Twin Miracles’ aims to demonstrate the impact GE’s Giraffe incubator and Shuttle can have on very tiny lives.
We’re really proud of this film, so we hope you enjoy it too
